Early Years 1 News
Since last newsletter Early Years children have started their swimming sessions and demonstrated how far they have come over the year. They are able to follow the school expectations of being safe and respectful both on the bus and at the pool. The lessons are so much fun and everyone is progressing well with their water skills.
Last Thursday the children participated in the Early Years First Nations play event. They drew Indigenous symbols in the sand, searched for Australian animals in the sand and made flower bracelets. The session finished with an Indigenous story. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the children were very engaged and had wonderful exposure to Indigenous culture.
Thursday, 7th November is the Colour Run. Have you all created a Colour Run fundraising account and shared it with family and friends. Come along and watch the fun.
Another event we are looking forward to is the swimming carnival in week 9.
Kate and I never cease to be amazed at the progress our children have made over the year and the new skills they demonstrate every day. Their Prep year is fast coming to an end and what a great year we’ve had.
