S3 Newsletter  T1 2025

What a fabulous beginning to the year so far.  A special mention to fun Fridays – swimming and science all day.  The students encounter with science has led to discovering the properties of objects and how they move. We have made shoes out of paper, observed the properties of soft plastic clay, used push and pull to move objects and propelled pom-poms into the air using our balloon made launchers! There has been lots of fun and laughter!  For maths, we’ve begun to make some great art with shapes, including some monsters that make the room look great.  Then there’s English where the students have loved some of the persuasive texts shared, such as ‘Don’t Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus’.   A lot of laughter and engagement and it’s so great to see them getting into books.  We’re all looking forward to Crazy Hair Day this Friday.  I can’t wait to see what everyone does with their hair – what a fun way to celebrate their successes, not to mention the school ‘shop’ in deputy Phil’s room.  Too exciting and great job S3!   Andy, Gaelle, Sabana, Josh & Bec.
