End of Term Message from S1 at Gympie Special School
It’s been a busy term filled with learning, testing, reporting, Sports Days, Reward Days, and plenty of timetable reshuffling to manage staff shortages. As always, the Gympie Special School community has come together and simply got it done – a true testament to the resilience and teamwork of my colleagues and the students.
Both students and staff are no doubt feeling the effects of a full-on term, but there’s been so much to celebrate. From strong teaching and learning opportunities to impressive skill development, we’ve seen growth in all of our students. Our science activities have been a particular hit, with students engaging enthusiastically and showing great curiosity.
Social and emotional learning has also been a key focus, and it’s been heartening to see students respond positively and make progress in these vital areas.
Now, it’s time for a well-earned break. We hope everyone takes the chance to rest, recharge, and reset. Enjoy the holidays, and we look forward to welcoming our students back refreshed and ready for another great semester ahead.
Have a fantastic break!
Andrew, Dale, Mason, Eli and Chris
