As we close out Term 3, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had so far this year and share some exciting developments that will shape the coming months.

One of the highlights this term has been the opportunity to engage in a instructional leadership collaborative learning community through the "Walk & Talks" with Palmview Special School. This collaborative professional learning space has allowed me to learn from, and share insights with, colleagues as we work together to elevate teaching and learning across our school’s approach to embed a Sequential Phonics Program. These interactions have been invaluable in fostering a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of our students and the best practices for supporting their growth. It’s been a true privilege to collaborate with such a dedicated group of educators.

This term, I have also had the opportunity to complete two significant professional development courses. The Flagship Aspiring Principal program has been an eye-opening experience, providing me with a deeper understanding of strategic leadership and the nuances of school management. I am also proud to have completed the GROWTH Coaching International course, which has enhanced my coaching skills, and will allow me to better support both staff and students as we work towards our shared goals.

Both courses have reinforced my commitment to providing a safe and dynamic learning environment for all students, as well as creating opportunities for growth within our staff. The knowledge gained will be instrumental as we continue to shape our school’s future.

With 2026 fast approaching, as a leadership team we have been working diligently behind the scenes to strategically plan for the priorities of 2026. The work we are doing now will lay the foundation for the exciting initiatives and developments we hope to see next year. I look forward to sharing more with you as these plans take shape.

It’s with great excitement that I’ll be returning to the Principal role in Term 4, while Sarah takes on the challenge of a bigger school. I feel incredibly fortunate to be able to not only see out the final stages of the 2025 school year, but also to be actively involved in the setup for the year ahead.

Thank you all for your continued support throughout this busy term. I look forward to returning next term with renewed energy and enthusiasm, ready to continue our journey of growth, collaboration, and achievement.
