S5 News
Hello Families!
The past five weeks in our secondary 5 class have been nothing short of extraordinary, filled with creativity, learning, and plenty of fun. In our Earth and Space Science unit, students have been hard at work designing and constructing solar system dioramas. Their projects are really coming to life, with each student adding their own unique flair and attention to detail, making the classroom feel like a miniature galaxy. Alongside this, our mathematics lessons have been running full speed ahead, with a strong focus on number and algebra, where students are developing their confidence and problem-solving strategies. In literacy, we have been diving into poetry and rhyme, exploring different poetic styles, experimenting with language, and learning how to express ideas in creative and imaginative ways. Beyond the classroom curriculum, we’ve also had some exciting whole-school events. Our Book Week parade was a highlight, where our classroom door was transformed into a vibrant Charlie and the Chocolate Factory display, capturing the magic of Roald Dahl’s story. To top it all off, students enjoyed our PBL rewards day with a visit from the Bubble Man, which brought laughter, amazement, and a chance to celebrate their hard work and positive behaviour.
Warm regards,
Miss Riane, Miss Naomi, Miss Tracy and the Secondary 5 Class
