WOW, half way through the term already. Time flies when you are having fun.

We have been busy workers over the past several weeks. In English we have been enjoying our book of the week (the stories centred on chooks seem to be everyone’s favourite). We discuss the feelings and emotions displayed by the main characters and are learning to sequence the beginning, middle and end of each story. We describe our favourite events and likes or dislikes about a character or book. In Maths, we have focused on number and counting activities, and extending knowledge of 2D shape by comparing to 3D shape. In Science, we are excited to begin to care for our new class pets – Mealworms. We used the jumbo magnifying glass to observe their features and look forward to watching them change through their lifecycle. Finally, in PE we joined with the other primary classes to practice fundamental movement skills, participate in team games and practice how to become good sports men/women.
