Halfway through term 2 already and we are getting ready for our sports day. We having been training in shotput and javelin. Coach Tim is teaching not only students but also staff to perform a range of track and field events. High jump is also a great field event with several students already increasing their skills. We are also learning about being safe during sport.

Our core words have been included in our class weekly books, at the suggestion from one of our students. We are communicating using our ‘core’ words with PODD, ProloQuo2Go and Auslan. Some students are increasing their letter knowledge with a range of activities and some students are building their word knowledge in groups and independently. On Tuesdays, students are using laptops to write a sentence of their choice.

During playtime, we occasionally have played “The floor is lava,” we have lots of fun and I even get to compete in a team.
