Hi Primary 2 Parents

Our students have been busily working in preparation for the end of semester and focusing on achieving their individual learning goals.

During English our students have been particularly focused on learning letter sounds and blends to assist both their reading and writing. This has assisted students greatly to continue to develop their knowledge and understanding of letter, words and sentence structures, punctuation and grammar.

In maths students have been focussing on shape and pattern, our students main focus has been to continue a pattern using both pre-set shapes, as well as real world objects such as plates, bowls and some sports equipment.

Speaking of sport our class (and school for that matter) have had the wonderful Coach Tim come in and help our students learn about the different sports in athletics (school athletics carnival is in week 8 on June the 11th) Our students have learnt shotput, high jump and all about running in lanes. This will help any of our students who may be able to participate in the next level of competition.
