Early Years 3 News

Early Years 3 have been having a great time over the last few weeks. Horse riding at RDA is really enjoyable, we have also loved our literacy, maths and science lessons. Another highlight has been the start of our work with Coach Tim.

In Maths we have been exploring taller and shorter and heavier and lighter. We have been comparing several items to see what is taller and what is shorter, what is heavier and what is lighter. What fun we have had with scales.

In Science we have been looking at objects that fly and things that float or sink. We have had great fun with the garden blower, some plastic balls and balloons. Did you know that you can make a drawing with whiteboard markers float? Such fun!

In Literacy we have been exploring Australian Stories. We have loved singing and reading along to “The Wheels on the Ute Go Round and Round” and “Kangaroo Plays his Didgeridoo.”

Coach Tim has been helping us to learn all about our Athletics Day activities. We can run down a lane now. We have explored high jump, shot put and javelin.
