I cannot tell you all how proud I was to accompany our multi-class athletes to the Wide Bay School Sport Cross Country trials on Tuesday 7^th of June.  A massive congratulations to our 2022 multi-class Gympie Zone Cross-Country team! Cody, Geoffrey, Zane, Tyson, Jasmine, Shyanne, Mason and Ryan.

Shyanne, Mason, Ryan and Zane ran amazing individual races and have been selected into the Wide Bay Cross Country team.  They will compete at the Queensland State Titles in August.  What an amazing achievement!  We wish them all the very best.

Moving on …. For now

It is with mixed emotions that I let you all know that I have been recruited to James Nash State High School for a 6-month secondment. My new position will be for Semester 2 to head up some project work as Deputy Principal.  Chrissie Hansen, who is a very experience special school deputy will be replacing me.

Gympie Special School is one the most student-centred environments I’ve ever had the pleasure to work in and I will miss the staff, students and parents during my 6 months away.
