Students are learning about data collection and data representation.  They have been making Pictographs, Bar Graphs, and Pie Charts.  Data collected for our activities included “Who is the biggest selling musical artist of all time?” (Beatles if you are wondering). “What is the biggest selling video game of all time?” (Tetris – I know right! Who knew?).  And, what colours are Mr Andrew’s personal Hot Wheels car collection. They have also explored concepts related to data collection including ‘Prediction’ and counting with Tally marks.  Next week we’ll finding out what the most popular car colours are – good to know if you want to be a bit different from the mainstream.  Don’t be surprised if your students start moving around the house counting things and recording how often things happen.
