On Friday the 12th May all of Primary invited their mums, grandmas, sisters or aunts to school for a Mother’s Day afternoon tea at school. The students worked very hard in all areas of the curriculum to prepare for this afternoon tea. In English we worked to create and colour the invitations and write on the inside of our Mother’s Day cards. In Art we worked to paint flower pots and created beautiful cards and in Science we discussed the soil and planted flowering plants. In Maths we looked at patterns and created patterned beaded bracelets. In Health we looked at healthy snacks and chose some yummy, but still a bit healthy, biscuits to serve at the afternoon tea.
It was wonderful to see all the parents enjoying time with their children and each other. We hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day with your children.
We are loving our sessions with Coach Tim which will help us prepare for Athletics Day at the end of Term.
