P2 News
Welcome back to Term 3. Things are moving at a fast pace in our class and we have also welcomed our new student, Leni who is has settled in well.
In Literacy we are comparing fiction and non-fiction texts. Over the first few weeks we looked at ‘Piranhas don’t eat Bananas’ and ‘Macca the Alpaca’. The students had a good laugh while watching videos of Alpacas’ spitting habits and we learned that the clown fish is the only fish which could live amongst the poisonous tentacles of an anemone plant because of a jell like liquid on their bodies. Nature is so fantastic!!
In Numeracy we have been looking at number and place value, and how to position ourselves in relation to objects etc.
In Science it’s all about movement, how we move and how we make things move by pushing or pulling objects or people.
We will keep you up to date with new discoveries and things we learn in P2.
