During technology for Semester 2 2023, students are exploring concepts of design when working with technology.  In particular, students will investigate and explore how technologies use forces to create movement in a variety of ways and how various materials used can affect the performance of products. Each week students will make simple toys that use various types of propulsion.  During the first three weeks students made balloon cannons, straw rockets, then stomp rockets.  In the coming weeks they will make cars and flying things that are powered by rubber bands, pulled strings and balloons. Needless to say, most students look forward to technology each week – and so does Mr Andrew.
