The communication team have been busy preparing for the whole staff communication training. The team will highlight the importance of supporting ALL our student with their communication all day, everyday. Staff will watch some videos of students communicating using various modes of communication devices such as PODD and Proloquo2go. Staff will then participate in a variety of hands on activities to practise what they have learnt.

Workshops for staff continue this term and focus on augmentative alternative communication (AAC) and also train them in using specific devices. Last week a general AAC workshop was held and our next workshop will focus on Proloquo2go to train staff that have students who use Proloquo2go in their classrooms.

The school will soon have new Group PODDS for every classroom which will enhance communication through the classroom and curriculum.
