My Chappy year has started well.  The Secondary Girls’ group commenced again on Tuesday, with four girls participating. 

On Thursdays during second break, I spend time with the Early Years students.  Over the last couple of weeks, we have made pictures by tearing up newspaper and gluing it onto paper. 

The most exciting event, however, has been the start of a school choir.  We have had three rehearsals so far, with an average of about 21 Secondary and Senior students attending.  It’s not a traditional choir, but rather games and activities that promote singing and participation.  Our ‘big’ song we are currently working on is, ‘ Give me a home among the gum trees’.  Hopefully we will be able to share this song with the school community soon.  – Chappy Rachel
