Here we are at the end of Term 1…golly, time does fly when you are working hard and having fun.

Students in P2 have enjoyed our weekly Shared Reading story books. They have been answering, who, what, when, why and where questions, sometimes they had to think hard, they were also able to relate stories to their personal life experiences. Their phonic skills are also developing well and some students are able to use some learnt words when creating sentences.

P2 students are becoming super duper clever when working with numbers in so many different ways. We just started with ‘patterns’ and some manage to create AB and AABB patterns, some students need a bit more help at present.

We are trying to apply our PBL rule of the week in class, this week’s was, I am a learner when I do my best and give it a go. Students were applying this rule more than once this week which made us very proud of them.

We have introduced Zones of Regulation in our class and it is lovely to see how the students are stating in which zone they are, how they are feeling. Also that they are able to explain why they have put themselves in a specific zone.

Unfortunately, we are saying goodbye to Miss Jodi at end of Term 1 as she has decided to retire. We wish her all the best. Miss Andrea will be on class 5 days a week.
