PBL News

The PBL team has put all the final pieces in place for the PBL rewards day on Thursday the 28th March. Flyers were sent home to help create excitement around the reward earnt by the students following the school rules: I am a learner, I am safe and I am respectful. The PBL team voted for nuggets, chips and a movie for EY’s students and pizza and movie for all other sectors of the school.
In the PBL meetings in week 6 and 9 we agreed on new displays for the PBL rule ‘how to do school’ and these will be printed soon. After analysing behaviour data and completing a solution planner, the team focused on implementing strategies to assist with this year’s whole school goal to reduce behaviour incidents in the classroom.
The PBL team have raised lots of items for the agenda in Term 2, these include: reviewing our reward systems and investigating ways to simplify these, adapting posters about positive relationships and reinforcement to relate to our school, investigating ways to meet students’ sensory requirements and planning rewards for term 2, 3 and 4.
Remember to look at the Gympie Special School Facebook on a Monday afternoon to see the amazing students who received ‘students of the week’ and ‘Bronze Ardy awards’ for follow school rules. Alternatively you are welcome to come to parade and watch these proud students receive there certificates in front of there peers.
Have a great school holiday from Trista and the PBL team.
