Our PBL Committee team have been working tirelessly to ensure positive behaviour interventions across the whole school.

After whole school discussion at a whole staff meeting, teachers brainstormed the most effective intervention strategies they use in behaviour scenarios., Our PBL team condensed this list and communicating to whole staff to not only assist with new techniques and behaviour intervention strategies but also identify what works best with each individual student. Below you will find our final list which will be added to One-School and allow for data collection over the next semester.

PPE, Processing time, offer space, CALM communication, offer choices, Offer break/change activity/redirection, restorative debrief, change of face, regulation break, admin support, Students specific scripts/visuals, Natural consequence, BMAP review, Buddy class, and distraction (humour).

After receiving our EBS (Effective Behaviour Survey) results from region, we have celebrated our success and identified areas of improvement.

Areas to target improvement

• Student, Family, Community Engagement (Update PBL staff wall, share data in the staff meeting, 3 meetings a term, quick text/FB invite to PBL rewards day)
• Behaviour Response – Flowchart for all staff

This Friday marks the end of semester 1 for 2024. We are very excited for one of our biggest PBL rewards days of the year with our inflatable obstacle courses provided by Aussie Inflatables in Brisbane. I would love for families to join us on the day and experience first hand the joy celebrating positive behaviour brings.
