Wow! The last week of Term 3 has certainly crept up on all of us and what a great term it has been. After a busy couple of days at camp in Currimundi the students have settled back in to school with a refreshed attitude to their learning.

S1 has been continuing with their focus on reading and writing informative texts about animals. They have been learning about different animals, their subgroups, diet, appearance and habitat in preparation for the writing of their information reports. The students have spent time decorating the classroom learning wall with facts about different animals and questions to help them with their research.

The students are progressing well with their knowledge of telling the time using an analogue clock. Most can tell the time half-past the hour and are working towards the goal of recognising quarter-past and quarter-to.

The Wednesday soccer HPE sessions with Coach Tim have been a blast, beginning with ball drills and ending with a competitive game of soccer sometimes with teachers joining in. Our Friday HPE sessions have been focusing on a variety of different games that require the students to follow rules and work as a team. The theoretical side of HPE has continued its focus on anatomical body parts, respect and consent.

Overall it has been a very exciting and busy term filled with learning and the organisation of camp. We hope you have a safe and relaxing break and looking forward to seeing everyone again in Term 4.
