It is nearly the end of term three and the school holidays are fast approaching!

Well done to Oliver and Harrison who received their Ardy Gold awards and well done to Isaiah who earnt a student of the week award.

Book week was great fun, with all the doors in school decorated. We toured the school as a class practising our communication skills as we described and commented on each of the amazing designs. The dress up parade was entertaining with all the staff and students dressed up and the music playing, well done to Oliver for winning best dressed in Early Years.

Coach Tim teaches soccer each Tuesday and Oliver and Harrison are learning to kick the ball without picking it up in between each kick. Isaiah and Elliot are learning the kick action and balancing on one foot while kicking. Elliot had a great interaction with coach Tim, Tim said hello on Elliot’s Proloquo2Go and Elliot looked at Tim and pressed ‘something is wrong’ on his speech device. Trista said to Tim you look different today! Tim showed Elliot where he had left his hat. Elliot looked at the hat then Tim multiple times until Tim got the hat and put it on, Elliot then smiled broadly and walked away satisfied. As a footnote – Coach Tim always wears his hat and this was the first time the students had seen him without it!

Coming up in term 4 is swimming lessons taking place from week 2 to week 9. We will have our lesson between 11am and 11:45am each Friday. Please remember to supply your child’s water safety items, board shorts, rash vest and a towel and any student who is not toilet trained MUST supply and wear a swim nappy.
