Since last meeting, videos have been made to demonstrate the pathways to locate the Core Word of each week in both PODD and Proloquo2Go (Augmentative, Alternative Communication.) You can find the Core Word on the parent calendar for that week. The video of the Core Word for each week is shown on parade to extend the student’s capacity to use AAC. Extra communication iPads have been purchased for use in classrooms to supplement the existing ones already in use. This gives everyone more opportunity to have access to and to use AAC.

Staff are still learning and developing their skills with PODD and Proloquo2Go and are recognised for their efforts with a “staff shout-out” board in the staffroom.

Keep communicating everyone. Don’t let them sit in silence.
